Well this is a hairy situation.
It's not even no-shave November yet, but it seems the beard is having a moment early this year. And while we won't admit to being full-on facial hair fanatics or just five-o-clock shadow supporters, we are asking this—which dude has best scruff? Bring on the beards.
Jared Leto is basically the poster child for beards. And his grungy-good look goes right along with that. The long hair and beard combo sometimes makes the 42-year-old look a little more caveman than rocker, but still the guy is famous for his facial flow.
And Leonardo DiCaprio—we're not sure how to feel about your beard. Sure, the mustache-beard fusion is impressive. But we think we like the Wolf of Wall Street star better with a little less scruff. We'll leave it up to you to decide whether the Oscar nominee's beard is a yes or a no-go.
Even under a mess of furry scruff, Bradley Cooper's gorgeous face can't be disguised. This photo of the hunky actor was taken back at the 2014 Met Gala, and since Cooper's beard has considerably shrunk. But at its prime, the Silver Lining Playbook star's furry addition was nothing short of glorious.
On to the scruffiest of them all—Penn Badgley's beard. The Gossip Girl star ditched his former character's fresh look for a massive mess of facial hair. If a big-bearded Dan Humphrey was your dream all along, then rejoice.
